Greed (Autumn 2027 TBC)
From Ockham’s Razor comes Greed a Greek tale made flesh.
Based on a story from Ovid’s Metamorphoses Greed is the tale of a king who hungers to be more revered than the gods.
After the king cuts down a sacred grove, Demeter calls the goddess Lack to climb inside his belly. Filled with a maddening hunger he discovers that however much he consumes he can never be satisfied. He tears through his palace devouring everything in sight, in time threatening to demolish his kingdom.
Only one person can possibly save him - his daughter Mestra - who has been gifted an extraordinary power by the gods.
Using the extreme physicality of circus and their trademark innovative stage craft Ockham’s Razor tell this raw, timely and darkly comic story about over consumption.
Fusing acrobatics, dance, storytelling and illusion Greed is a beautiful yet gut wrenching show about retribution and salvation and whether you can save people, and the world, from their worst impulses.
